You will be met at your accommodation and transported to the Materuni village. From here, you will embark on a 1 hour hike to the Materuni waterfall with your English speaking Chagga Culture and Coffee guide (maybe Mr Coffee himself). The hike will take you through picturesque farmland and on clear days, views to Mount Kilimanjaro can be seen. You can choose to swim in the waterfall, visit the hidden cave or just sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
You will then return to the family home where an extensive cooked lunch is provided by Mamma Coffee, including locally grown and harvested fruits. You will then learn of the traditional coffee growing and harvesting process, and be involved in the creation of your own coffee, all accompanied by traditional songs and dance.
Upon the completion of your tour, you will be transported back to your accommodation.
Cost
Cost from Moshi: From $50 USD per adult and $30 USD per child (up to 10 years of age). Final cost will depend on group size and whether transportation is required.

Tour Duration: 4-5 Hours
Tour Availability: We offer tours on all days of the week at any time to suit you, however on Sundays we can only offer pick up times from 10am.
