Chagga Culture and Coffee is a small family business that is owned and run by the local Materu family who are the traditional owners of a 3 hectare farm which has been in the family since around 1915. During your time with us you will pass through our farmlands on the way to the Materuni waterfall. These farmlands are roughly divided to serve two purposes; one to feed our family where traditional crops of maize, beans etc are grown and the other is used for saleable crops, including bananas, avocados, coffee and yams.
During your tour you will gain an appreciation of the traditional coffee making process, enjoy local foods and fruits and brew your very own cup of organically grown coffee, from the very beginning of the coffee production process to the end.
You do not need magic to disappear, all you need is a destination.
